After landing in Houston and getting about 7 hours of sleep, I woke up and made my way over to LauBerge Du Lac to top off my vacation. On the way, I stopped over at Pappadeaux in Beaumont to enjoy a lunch special combo consisting of half a shrimp poboy and a cup of the crawfish bisque. For $12, this is probably the best deal on the menu, as the fried shrimp are flavorful and the bisque is STACKED full of crawfish. The only drawback to this meal was the fact that the bread is a bit overwhelming on the poboy. As fluffy as it is, it's just way too much bread for any kind of sandwich.
